Both Scooters India Limited (SIL) and API still produce some form of Lambro, as in India and other such countries these small little work horse represent excellent value for money. API still produce a version of the early Lambros, but SIL have all but dropped the Lambretta and Lambro name, they are now sold under the name Vikram.

The older styled models are still in production until the newer model is put into production, with many choices of body and styles. Three engine variants are available, 200cc two stroke based on the original engine, a small 600cc engine powered unit, and the new electric motor model
